Who we are

MortgageAdviceUK (mortgageadviceuk.com) is a free UK service that introduces homebuyers, homeowners and landlords to FCA-regulated mortgage advisers who give their advice at no charge.

How the service works

1. You tell us what you need: a first mortgage, a remortgage or a buy-to-let.
2. We introduce you to one FCA-regulated, whole-of-market adviser.
3. The adviser contacts you, usually within 24 hours, to talk through your options and handle your application.

Why the advice is free and how we're paid

MortgageAdviceUK is currently free to use, for clients and for advisers. We do not charge for introductions.

Who gives the advice

The advice is given by FCA-regulated advisers from firms that are separate from MortgageAdviceUK. Every adviser we introduce you to searches mortgages from across the whole of the market and is not tied to any one lender or bank. Some deals are only available direct from lenders. We do not name individual advisers on this site.

Areas we cover

We introduce clients across the UK by phone and video call. We also have a page for one local area, written from local knowledge rather than generated: mortgage advice in Balham, which also covers Clapham and Tooting. Appointments there can be at your home as well as by phone or video.

How our guides are written and reviewed

Our mortgage guides are drafted with the help of AI writing tools. Each draft goes through automated checks and a compliance review, and is then approved by a qualified mortgage adviser before it is published. Every guide shows the date it was last updated. Guides are general information and not personal advice.
